Comments

When visitors leave comments on the website, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Contact forms

We store user input data sent through the contact forms on this website, along with meta information about the submissions, including the time stamp, the origin IP address, and the user agent (browser). Also, third party services may collect information about website visitors. We currently use Google Analytics.

We don’t set a particular time limit on storing information because we need it for future reference. If you want your information to be removed from our database, please contact us. We will remove it anytime there are concerns about your privacy.

Kalahari Training Institute will share your data with the following parties:

With Contracted Instructors: 

For Course improvement and to ensure relevance during training, we share your data with our course instructors. This data may include things like your age or gender, city, country, device settings, and other Kalahari Training Institute courses which you have shown interest in or have studied.

With Other Students and Instructors: 

If you choose, shared content, profile data and activity may be publicly viewable during our tutor led training by other students and instructors.  During tutor led training, if you make a contribution to the discussion or ask a question, your information (including your name) may also be publicly viewable by other users depending on your settings.

With Service Providers, Contractors, and Agents: 

We share your data with third-party companies who perform services on our behalf, like payment processing, data analysis, marketing and advertising services (including retargeted advertising), email and hosting service. These service providers may access your personal data and are required to your data at our discretion.

With Analytics and Data Enrichment Services: 

As part of our use of third-party analytics tools like Google Analytics, we share certain contact information, Account Data, System Data, Usage Data.

To Power Social Media Features: 

Sharing user experience to third parties (as when using the Facebook Like button) allows

social media provider to collect things like your IP address and which page of the Services you’re visiting, and to set a cookie to enable the feature. Your interactions with these features are governed by the third-party company’s privacy policy.

To Administer Promotions and Surveys: 

We may share your data as necessary to administer, market, or sponsor promotions and surveys you choose to participate in.

For Security and Legal Compliance:

We may disclose your data to third parties if we (in our sole discretion) have a good faith belief that the disclosure is:

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Unfortunately, no data transmission over the internet or data storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. We advise that your passwords be kept safe and secure and that if you feel that the security of any data that we hold about you has been compromised, please immediately notify us.

Cancelation & Refund Policy

KTI understands that occasionally, trainees who register for an online training course may change their mind for one reason or another. KTI therefore have a refund policy for trainees who decide not to take the course. Refunds for online courses are only given within the fourteen-day grace period, under the following circumstances:

  • The trainee did not access any portion of the online course AND the trainee requests a refund, in writing via email within fourteen days from the date of the registration/purchase.
  • There will be no refunds for any online courses once a course has been accessed in any manner.
  • A full refund will be issued less an administrative fee of P50.

The procedure to be followed in order to request a refund or cancellation is to contact KTI at training@kti.co.bw with your full details, including email address and your order number. The email must be received within fourteen-day from date of registration/purchase.

If you are entitled to a refund under the terms stated above, KTI will refund you on the credit card or debit card used by you to pay for the online course or via an electronic transfer that will be paid into your account.

Please understand that with the registration and accessing of your online course, you have read and agree to the aforementioned refund policy. There are no extensions granted for your course.
